The kids loved it. We had a lot of fun at their recent family fun day. Not only was the event free but the kids made several small art projects as well.

Wonderful museum. Lots too see, but not so much that you can't do it in one day. I absolutely loved the Message in a Bottle exhibit. I had lots of fun reading the messages and the facts about the rivers. It also seemed like they had a lot of kid friendly, interactive areas.
Really lovely museum with wonderful staff. They host regular family days with activities for the young and young at heart. Thursday evenings there is nearly always something interesting hosted.
The lady in the gift shop provided us a map and explained where all the exhibits were and a recommended path to wonder. The Irma Koen exhibit was special and we were lucky to catch it for it's last week. The museum has a great focus on art that is both religious and from colonialism. The view of the river is beautiful in winter and an amazing spot to view the eagles. Cannot recommend enough.
