Rooms are out dated. The pillows are small and rock hard. They are big enough to fit your head. They are also flat. In the bathroom the toilet is close to the counter. No room to move. The breakfast is was hard. If you're looking for a quick visit this place isn't bad.
The staff were professional and friendly. Their breakfast spread is decent as well (cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage links, biscuits, toast, beagles, muffins, donuts, juice, milk & coffee). The indoor pool is clean and the surrounding area is tidy and well kept. They have a laundry room with only 1 washer & 1 dryer costing $1.75 in quarters per load/ per machine. They do not have the ability to charge your room for that service nor is there an ATM within a short walk. The gym is simple for basic cardio and body weight workouts with sweat towels located in the room. They are currently undergoing renovation on their rooms which are expected to have even more comfortable beds and nicer furniture than they currently have. We stayed in one of prerenovated rooms and it was nice, the beds are comfortable and bedding is clean. Definitely a great day price point for those needing a hotel while going through or staying in the Quad Cities.
For the most part it was fine. Beds were comfortable. Needs a make over pretty bad but I heard that they are starting renovations very soon. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was nice but no gravy for the biscuits. If you are going to have biscuits then have gravy too. Many people were upset that there was no gravy and ended up throwing the biscuits in the trash.
Cheap hotel room and you get what you pay for. Beds were decently comfortable, and had an alright breakfast the next morning. What I was not impressed with was cleanliness. We got in late after our event and couldn't close the curtains except a sheer. Kids kept waking up at 2am, 3am thinking it was morning it was so bright in the room and lots of highway noise. The next morning we realized all the crusty stains on the bed skirts and downright dirty headboard and night stand. We checked out early and I informed Maria at the front desk of the issues. She rolled her eyes and said "well, we are about to go through a remodel so the next time you stay.." no excuse for gross rooms! Informed her we would not return and she smirked and said ok. Pay the extra $10-$15 and stay in a much MUCH cleaner hotel down the road!
The manager, Heather, is awesome! The value, comfy rooms, and friendly staff are why we keep coming back :)
We have stayed here frequently over the past few years. Our stay this year was even better. They've started renovations and the improvements are small but noticeable. They added a doggie station, park benches, and more cigarette stations outside.
