I called ahead to see if I could get an approximate value for some jewelry that was my aunt's who passed away. Nothing formal or with paper work. I wanted to make sure they would do something like that. I was told "absolutely no problem just walk in and ask and they will do it on the spot." Come in the next day was meet with the most condescending attitude. This was my third appraisal meeting, so I knew what I had was real and valuable as it had previously been tested. However, the two offers I had received earlier were far apart in numbers. I came with the intention of seeing what offer is more appropriate. I realize I look young, but being told "none of this is real" nobody wants a diamond like this" and "I'm not comfortable telling you what is this is worth" is insulting. Making comments like "I'm not going to call these diamonds" then coming back from testing saying "well they ended up actually being diamonds" is unprofessional. I understand diamonds need to be reshape and gold melted down. I realize reselling old jewelry is hard. Not sure why I was meet with such nasty behavior, but I did take their advice of selling them for 20 percent of what they were worth. Which, for the record, ended up being $20,000. I'm sure they are wonderful and polite when trying to sell something, but absolutely do not use them for other matters.
Excellent customer service. Friendly and knowledgeable. Good men's watch selection at all price points as well as zero percent financing available. Took my wife's Tiffany necklace in to have a knotted chain repaired. We ended up leaving with the repair made at no cost and I got a new 1000 meter dive watch at a great discount as well as 6 months no interest financing. Hassle free smooth transaction and super friendly people to work with.
We worked with Avalon to make a custom engagement ring. She was very patient and helpful when I had no idea what I wanted. She showed us a lot of styles and was always knowledgeable. We tried another jewelry store and I never had the same peace of mind there that I had with Avalon. She kept us up to date on the status of the ring via email which I preferred and was even willing to come in on her days off to talk with us about the ring throughout the process. I just got my ring and it is beautiful and everything I asked for. Avalon is personable and engaging and we never felt pressured to do something. I highly recommend visiting Neckers in Davenport and seeing her if you are looking for engagement rings or anything else jewelry related. Thanks so much for all your help, Avalon!
I have worked with Nikki and Tracy at Neckers. I started by taking jewelry (that I did not buy there) and asked to clean it, and I would pay for the cleaning. They cleaned the jewelry NO CHARGE. And refused to take any type of payment. Because of such great customer service, I ended up buying a necklace for my friend. I have returned to Neckers more 3 times and the service is 5 STAR. I would highly recommend visiting Neckers if you are looking to purchase jewelry. The entire sales staff is remarkable.
What can I say to add to one of the nicest experiences that I have ever had at a Jewelry store. Avalon was so patient and knowledgeable in helping us with our choice of what will be a once in a lifetime purchase. With her direction and help we couldn't be happier with our purchase and you can be sure if jewelry is in the future we will be back. Larry Daily
