Extremely disappointing to go to a travel agency to ask for contact information for an airline and for them to completely and utterly be rude and say, " If you have an issue with that airline you can call yourself." I explained to them that I was curious to know if they had an alternative phone number I could contact the airline and the response was, "We can't help you, you'll have to get the information on your own." Seriously? I understand that I didn't book travel, but to be rude and dismissive is absurd. Definitely will not be wasting my time or energy with them in the future.
I've dissected cadavers who were more responsive than Gulliver's. I found them frustrating and laborious to deal with. It took almost 2 weeks, numerous phone calls and multiple e-mails to get them to figure out our travel details and set our itinerary. (I guess Gulliver's has never heard of Swift). When I finally tried to pay for the entire trip (some 4 months in advance) Gulliver's insisted, in addition to taking my credit card information over the phone, that I send them a digital image of my credit card (front and back) and my driver's license. Are you kidding me? That was the last straw. There was no way I was going to do that. Gulliver's couldn't seem to understand why, when so many large companies are being hacked into and client information is being stolen, that I would object to them storing a photograph of my credit card and driver's license on their computers. I gave up and called another travel agency who created and booked the identical trip for us (for $300 less than Gulliver's) and who took my payment over the phone without a lot of nonsense about needing photographs of my personal identity - and the whole process took less than 2 hours. The only people left at Gulliver's seem to be the Yahoos.
