Unfortunately the the prices are high on concessions. That is how they make their money.
Just come well rested as a nice nap can be acquired.
Movies are so much better on the big screen.
New seating is wonderful
They pay dearly for the movies and make little profit from them. Therefore, they have to make enough money from concessions to keep the doors open.
Love the ability to choose my seats. I also love the Tuesday discounts.

New assigned seating is a nightmare! You think you're going to get to the movie early and get a good seat- because that's the fun of going to the movies. But you're going to wait in line FOREVER because the new way of doing it causes a back-up at the purchase counter with everyone trying to figure out where to sit BEFORE even getting past the ticket counter. Then you will have to sit in the front row, because everyone who bought online ahead of time took all the good seats. Really takes the fun out of going to the movies! Tried to go on opening night, All the seats were taken by prior online reservations. Then if you want to go online and book seats- you'll still be waiting DAYS, and you will have to search every showtime to get seats NOT in the front row. Going to Regal in Moline from now on.
My father managed theatres for many years and I started going at 5years old. The oldies are locked in my memories forever.
First time there since they added the comfortable recliners. Each one has a small table(probably not very suitable for those over 200lb), which I barely fit behind once in place at my weight of 185. There's plenty of room for ppl to walk by in front of you even when fully reclined, which is nice.you can check open seats from a monitor at the ticket desk before even going into the individual theatre, and chose your seat right then. Small popcorn and a large soda ran about 10 bucks, so a little pricey for the snacks. All around, it was pretty decent though.
These new seats are fantastic. The large popcorn I got was not. I paid almost 10 dollars for a bucket of popcorn that was half edible popcorn and half crumbs and hard Kernals. Almost broke my teeth trying to eat it. Other than that I had a pleasant experience.
I'm glad we can buy advance tickets and actually get the seats we want. Love the recliner chairs; Wish they had Mountain Dew or Mellow Yellow in the Davenport Rave theater. Ditch the serving of beer and wine, though. It's not setting a good family example.
