It's a chain book store where sometimes you find more of other things than books. However it still is nice to go there and do some book shopping and they also sell music. Their cafe looks cozy and inviting to stay

Over the years, I have become quite a book enthusiast. Primarily, I love buying comic books and graphic novels. Two big Quad City locations for book buyers are Barnes & Noble and Books-A-Million. Being in NorthPark Mall, Barnes & Noble makes a convenient stop during a fun shopping trip. This location has a diverse selection of material, both entertainment and educational.

Honestly I had good experiences till today. I had to stay at the mall from 1-9 because that's my only ride and my phone was at 10% at 2 because my phone is currently broken and can't keep charge so to keep me busy I usually go get a coffee and read or get stuff done on my phone. Today I decided to use my phone so I plugged it in an outlet sat down next to it ( I was in nobody's harm or way) the older lady that works there comes up and in a snooty tone said " you need to take it out because the outlets aren't used to just charge a phone." Then continued to watch me for a solid 5 min making me feel very uncomfortable. I didn't reciprocate anything I took it out right away and didn't say a word, but I was alone as well and I'm 17 years old what if I was stranded and my phone was about to die. Barnes and noble is really that over whelmed by ONE outlet that's she couldn't just let me have piece and quiet and get my stuff done ( I was trying to find jobs) as well as people bring laptops in and use there outlets to charge a computer, I have seen it before, just a big disappointment I guess.

Great location with friendly staff! I love to sit in the cafe and read sign a coffee. Only drawback is there are no outlets in the cafe, but it was explained to me that when it was built it wasn't in during the laptop craze and it wasn't necessary then. Would 100% recommend coming here!

Always have or will get the items I am after. Friendly staff!

This location does, however, have issues with employee attitude and customer engagement. I understand that memberships are a big part of companies, and many employees are required to ask customers to sign up for memberships. Here it is borderline harassment. I have had eyes rolled at me, snotty remarks, and general bad attitudes when declining the membership. This has caused me to avoid the store various times because I simply didn't want to put up with the experience in the checkout. I don't want a membership. I have no interest in it. I shouldn't be harassed for feeling that way.
